Volunteer Registration

Thank you for registering to volunteer at West Coast Green — your help is what makes this event possible! Please fill out this form in order to receive your scheduled shifts.

It is extremely important that volunteers arrive 15 minutes prior to the shift. If you arrive late, the position will not be held and your role may be re-assigned.

You may pick up your conference badge from the registration desk at any time before your shift. Please note that volunteers that do not show up for their assigned shifts will be charged the full conference rate.

All positions will include a training session at the beginning of the shift.

What positions are you interested in working? Please rank your choices 1-3. We will do everything we can to honor your requests, but cannot guarantee that you will receive one of your top choices.

Pre-Conference Marketing - Distribute West Coast Green 2010 collateral during the weeks leading up to the conference

Registration – for attendees, speakers and/or exhibitors (morning shift starts at 6:00 am)

Hospitality Staff - Greet attendees, provide information and guidance, serve snacks and beverages on expo floor and/or assist speakers in Speaker Lounge

Security - Verify attendee access to educational tracks and speaking programs

Speaker Room Attendants - ensure speakers are in rooms before presentation, assist speakers and AV techs in setting up programs, assist attendees with finding seating as necessary

Greening Monitors - Assist West Coast Green in maximizing its sustainability goals by diverting as much waste from landfill as possible. Volunteers will ensure that attendees deposit their waste in the proper cans at the Resource Recovery Stations located throughout the event hall.

Floaters – Get a chance to volunteer in various sections of the conference and fill in the gaps where needed

Set-up or Teardown - These shifts take place before and after the conference and require casual clothing

Landscaping - Help create our integrative show garden - these shifts take place during set-up days, prior to the conference (be prepared to get dirty)

Special Events - Work special events on the evenings of the conference

Bookstore and Merchandise - Help with sales at the onsite bookstore
